Truck suddenly burned Maxlife Synthetic 5w-30?

Yea, it's pinging a bit, but it has it's whole life unless I run mid grade 89 octane. I know of the belly pan gasket failures, so if I continue to lose oil, I'll look into that fix.............Man I hope that's not the problem.

D Bone on all my 5.9L Dodges I found 2 Bottles of Gumout Regane to a full tank of gas would allow it to run 87 octane regular for a period of time before requiring a retreat. Evidently Carbon Buildup on the Pistons.

Just throwing Moribundman's post out there as food for thought. Maybe not burn off, but slip past rings more easily? I could see it possibly with M1 as M1 tends to be thinner for it's grade IIRC. But I really doubt Maxlife would do that.
