This filter came off of a 2016 Toyota Prius, ~120k miles on the car, ~10k miles on the filter.

Out: Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 and Toyota YZZA6 filter made in Thailand.

In: Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 and Wix Protec PXL57064 filter made in China.

I included a few photos of the brand new filter also.

Very nice photos and Thank You sir

Looks good. Would you have an estimate on how many of the 10k miles are the IC engine miles?

It's interesting that Toyota Denso OEM spin on, basically the Toyota cartridge element in a can.

Aesthetically this is a well engineered filter produced with very good manufacturing execution. It would be great to know its performance rating and life.

Hmmm, never thought about IC miles. The car records this info on individual trips, so I've seen trips that were 49% electric, some were much less. So I would estimate maybe around 35-40% electric and 60-65% IC. It all depends on how fast I drive. If I keep it around 60 mph or less the engine shuts off any chance it gets. Over that and the engine doesn't shut off any more.

So, if my assumptions are correct, the engine only does 6000 to 6500 miles in the 10k mile oil change.

Those filters, both old and new, look great. Stick with OEM for Toyota!
Yes, I have a few more of the Wix Protec filters and after that it will be only Toyota filters. I can get them pretty cheap at the dealership, forget exactly how much I paid for one, but it was a bit more than $4 each in a case of 10.
