Frankly, the 'cig-lighter' socket style is a poor choice. Many of the male-ends fit poorly, wiggle out, lose contact, then your accessory stops charging without you knowing about it. Another problem is that the wiring in some vehicles is inadequate for continuous use at a couple of amps.

I understand if that's all you have; so do I. If mine was used often for charging, I'd hard-wire a suitable port and fuse for dedicated use.

Something like an Anderson Power-pole is much more robust.
