serpentine belt dusting

Any experience with serpentine belts 'dusting' more than others? Specifically Bando vs Gates? Had a dayco that chirped when cold, switched to Bando as it was possible int he Honda community. It is quiet but does seem to leave black dust on everything. Looking at replacing it now.

I think the real question is what’s the cause? Weak tensioner? Funky load on a component?

Never seen that on anything before. Sounds like something isn't aligned properly and wearing the belt or a bearing in a tensior or pulley is starting to fail.

Remove belt and spin all pulleys by hand. Look for any wobble or misalignment.
