school me on the 2012 Pilot

So, I have one. Great vehicle, currently 160K, only issues was the EGR,. Put on a VCM disabler around 110K just for my own sanity. All maintenance done by the Maintenance Minder. Use only VTM-4 fluid for the rear, I cannot find anything else that works. You should be able to get well over 200K if you maintain it as the J35 engine is solid.

I'm 6'4" and I didn't have any problems with the interior. Then again, I daily the Elantra 60 miles round trip, so maybe I'm not the best judge of comfort.
I drove a 2017 Pilot to Houston and back on a weeknight a few months back for a concert at House of Blues. I'm 6'7" 320.

The legroom both vertically and horizontally is not the best for a fairly large vehicle like this, but, my knees were not against the dashboard, so that was good. By comparison, my Navi is fairly cavernous under the driver's dashboard.

rear control arm bushings tend to leak. there was a warranty extension ,but its over now. if you see little drips of dark oil that is not under the engine , check them

The only vehicle that I've felt like I've had sufficient leg/knee room in was a 2016 F150 that I drove from DFW to Denver and back in. I'd imagine the Navigator is very similar. It was so comfy that I was almost tempted to buy a Ford. Almost.

Leak what, molten rubber? j/k, guess they are fluid filled? Interesting. I'd rather have one with just rubber that lasted longer but I guess Honda wanted maximum road isolation.

Yep the struggle is real when you're tall. Most of the time it's an advantage, but cars and clothes are an exception. That said the Elantra is about the best you can do in a compact car, I've rented one for the weekend and it has pretty good legroom for what it is.

Off topic. Trying to understand your signature.

Do you mix your own oil?
It’s a play for the thickies around here as well as Quaker state 5w40 and Honda manual transmission fluid in the trans

I appreciate all the advice guys I’m going to spring on this and hopefully have pictures up next week

Trust me, you don’t want fully rubber bushing on this generation. Even with hydro bushing it is kicking steering on rough road.

So I’ll qualify - I do reasonably well in Honda interiors. I’m 5’ 10” but my legs are shorter - 30” Inseam

Not my personal vehicles, but my company owns 4 2012 Pilots. They have been excellent vehicles, and get driven a lot. They should be replaced because they have so many kilometers on them, and many of those were rough kilometers, but I'm concerned that any replacement would not be nearly as reliable.

The day has come and I was able to bring it home. So far I have the svcm muzzler on the way, changing oil to something of a euro spec and going to try Maxlife atf so pretty much everything Honda says not to apart from power steering. Added bonus it has the tow package so I get a factory transmission cooler as well.
