5k OCI with filter kept for 10k/every other oil change.

I have kept the filter for 10k mi a couple times now with oil replacement at 5k mi. First time I've inspected the filter. The filter looks in good shape but dirty. I think I'll go back to new filter with oil change and I've switched to Kirkland 5w30.

I ran the same interval all the time with my Jeep GC with the Pentastar engine. No problems at all. I only had 82,000 on a 2014 when I sold it.

Yeah, I have no reference. One side looks clean, the other dirty. I assume the dirty side is the "in" side.

Nice. One the best looking for Pentastar post use cartridges I've seen posted. Usually see some wave, which especially for a long cartridge like this, not surprising. Some wave, no biggie. But this a solid result 10k miles, imo. You got your money's worth out of topic cartridge.

Good looking filter. Mine come out with a bit of waviness. I've used STP, wix Protec and now I have an ecogard. Curious how that will come out in a month or so.

How did I miss this one? For 10k I think the backside of the oil filter media looks clean so it was filtering. Media well organized.
