Same color and model.... (Notice the rear brake!)

Bought mine back in 1987. My wife has the same bike in lime green.

Take care, bill

I forgot to mention - in nearly 20 years of use - I took the crankshaft out for the first time yesterday (to put the jackshaft in - yes! - it needs a longer crank for the crank freewheel) The original grease looked pretty good, albeit getting a bit dry. BUT the original shaft was in virginal condition. Not even a mark. No scoring in the races - nothing! Precision made and hardened.

so the pedals spin constantly now, under power?

I dare you to use click-on bike shoes with that.

That is some pretty nice fabbing/ machining.

That clamp almost looks like a super-mini muffler clamp.

That's where the fun turns into FUN.

I'd like to see how the clutch works.

No they don't spin constantly - this is engineered, not hacked. Look closely - there is front freewheel.

Thanks - indeed that is a HD muffler clamp.

The clutch is pretty simple. It is on the right side with a leetle flywheel/ring gear with friction pad and a lever arm on the left side with a cammed pin on a mandrel through a hollow shaft to puuuuush the clutch plate:

I think he needs a backup camera/tv system

it is a mountain bike, the SUV of the balancing gyro world.

I wonder how cool it would be to rig a tandem bike with two of those motors... and, shoot, a trailer for the kiddie.
