I've been looking for a thread like this since my parents bought and Escape with the 1.6 ecoboost although its speced for 5w20 instead of the 5w30 like the 2.0 is.
I know the 2.0 has a bit more power then the 1.6 but i don't know why they'ed spec one different oils for 2 engines that are pretty similar and in similar applications.
anyways I have a stock pile Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 that I will use until its gone and then I'll decide what to go with from then on, it'll either be the ultra etc or maybe qsud or synpower.
I would like to use the motorcraft full syn but its not widely available besides the dealer and who knows how much it is there. I'll have to do some research.
