Dangit. I was going to post a pic of Big G (but Monsterverse)

Figures it was one of the brothers, probably dropped his doughnut or spilled his coffee

The gate post with the hinges was pushed out of level also. That will need to be dug down, bust off old concrete and pour new.
The gate opener company is testing the under pavement safety sensors. Maybe have one that is not working properly.
The 'roundness' of the bend intrigued me.

Then I saw the scratches on the swing end.
Puzzling. You'd expect such a gate to kink sharply.

Shimmed with tie straps. If you mounted your mailbox like that you'd get a violation letter from the HOA.
The mirror is an on going experiment to see if it helped and would people use it. I initially installed it with a blue ratchet strap. The SS clamps were supposed to be an upgrade. The problem is the clamps are round and the gate post is square. So you need something extra for the clamp to press against so it's tight.Shimmed with tie straps. Also the mirror is not high enough so the mirror will need to be mounted on a piece of metal that will allow it's to be mounted a few inches higher and still not sure about this particular mirror as vibration from opening and closing of the gate causes the mirror to shift position a little and then need to be re-aimed.
Thus the experiment is continuing.
