For the universal japanese car filter (minus Toyota)
1) Honda 15400 PCX-004 S2000 racing engine filter by Filtech Pricey at 12-15 bucks ea.
2) Champ Labs MOBIL1EP 110A. Not bad at all. Pricey at 9 bucks
3) Fram TG7317. OK to go but not #1 and more affordable.
I bought a few Korean made HYUNDAI MANN that looked like jewels but didn't flow. And made ALL kinds of noise. Almost lunched the engine. So much for the Korean OE option - at least on a Japanese NISSAN.
You may say - why would you do that and why should it work?
Well tell me why it shouldn't. It would be just laike using any OTHER Aftermarket or what the dealer sells as OE service which ISNT O.E. service. Its just cost effective for THEM. Too cheap to use the excellent Filtech or Toyo Roki.
Sell more cars that way with a 2-3 year turnover!
No incentive to stock the GOOD SERVICE PARTS in the junk commodity cars we drive.
