Is there a Dexos 2? I assume these "new" designations pertain to turbocharged engines and direct injection engines.
The oils have been tweaked to lower the incidents of low speed preignition .

Also as early as May or June the API donut will have a sn plus added to it. This also has to do with LSPI affecting TGDI engines. It has different or more LSPI tests than Dexos 1 Gen 2 and is requested by OEM's because GF-6 won't be coming out until 2019.

Wasn’t gen2 developed for tgdi engines?

I believe DEXOS 1 GEN 2 is developed for LSPI which is low speed pre ignition

DEXOS1 => gasoline engines.

DEXOS2 => diesel engines.

I like to write it as NAPA Full Synthetic with all caps on NAPA; a capital F on Full; and a capital S on Synthetic.

A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet.
The add pack appears a little different, but you wouldn't be far wrong in thinking this oil to be a Synpower clone.
Anyone who likes Synpower should like this NAPA store brand.

I haven’t seen the NAPA Synthetic on sale much either, plenty of PP on sale for $4.99 plus $2 rebate in my area over the last 6-12 months.

It's been awhile around these parts as well.
