I've got a container of 4L of O/B oil that came with my boat ten years ago, so is at least 10 years old.

Just wanted to know anyone's opinion of whether it is OK to use, as I'd rather not just chuck it without checking with the experts first.

Thanks!

If it's stored in a cool, dry place and the seal on the original container hasn't been crack open before, I think it should be ok to use.

I'm currently using some 6yr old (been sitting on a shelf for 6 yrs unopened) 2T Castrol Act>evo oil and it seems to be ok with my 2-stroke engine...

Q.

I've had old outboard oil gell and get lumps in it, was glad it didn't get poured into a injector tank. If your old oil is the old tcw or tcw2 spec stuff, personally I wouldn't use it for the boat. My old oil became bar oil for the chainsaw so it got used.
