Have you seen the size of Made in Germany letters?
The Made in Germany letters are also on their other products.

As I said, when looking into Molygen it doesn’t seem to even compete with their other products, for the cars I own anyway.

Have pretty much made the decision to buy this for my next few oil changes in Smart For Four and the next interim oil change in my 745Le.

The Smart has a 0.9 litre turbo and the usual brew used by Smart, independent Merc/Smart specialists etc is a 5w30 in the Renault spec, but when you use that it uses oil, 1/2 a litre in 3000 miles on this oil change so I topped off with 5w40, can’t remember what I used last time I did an oil change as it was during lockdown.

Was probably 0w40 Mobil 1 from Costco🤷

That car has a fairly hard life as my wife’s daily driver and she uses it 7 days a week pretty much, just turned 60k miles which isn’t terrible for a May 2017 vehicle that I bought pre registered in September 2017 with 80 odd miles.

I didn’t want to buy loads of oil that only goes in the Smart.

Now I have a BMW 745Le it can use 5w40 LL04 in that, so the 20litre container from LiquiMoly will cover 2 oil changes in the BMW and 2 in the Smart.

I add LiquiMoly Ceratec in every interim oil change on the BMW and will now be doing that on the Smart.

Used Ceratec on my old S350d and that was smooth as butter when I sold it with well over 100k hard miles on it.

Will be an interesting year for me, I am almost certainly travelling to the USA later in the year to buy 2 Mercedes Metrus to export to Ghana, currently researching the Metrus engine they use in the USA as in Europe we only ever get the diesels, the older 2.1 and apparently newer ones have the 2.0 diesel.

I have no idea what 2.0 petrol engine they use in the USA

Will start another thread on oils for my cars in Ghana at some point

actually i am using the 5w-40 molygen new generation. But haven't put many km yet on it.
Less engine vibrations for sure... engine running a little quieter than the previous oil. This is of course my personal experience.
i was a little surprised you going away from your preferable shell and mobil ones but then,
Same in Finland, i didn't buy that oil for the made in Germany letters, did it for the UV dye to trace a oil leak, anyway i was surprised how silent the engine runs on this oil. So i probably will stay with this oil 🤷
it was all explained why. actually its a funny oil, because of the colour and the reason you need it. do you have oil leak problems ?
