Hi everyone I got two filter for my 91 civic WIX 51334 and K&N HP-1004

I noticed that the K&N has 5 holes on the bottom and the 8 on the wix, the inside core also looks very different the WIX has larger holes while the K&N has smaller ones.

will there be any difference in my car due to the differences in filter design.

I don't mind spending the cash for a good filter

WIX $8
K&N $12

also I will be using synthetic oil.

Using either one will do fine. But that Wix filter is without a doubt one of the best filters you can buy. Very high quality construction and a good balance of filtration and flow.

I would use WIX but not because of the holes.

Actually I would lean toward lower-cost, Wix-made filters such as Napa NASCAR and ProSelect (unless I was doing 10K OCI as they don't use silicon ADBV).
