Why do people post "In before the thread lock...
coffee2.gif
" ?

when it adds nothing and is so unnecessary? Topic was not overtly political or anything. Just a good discussion of a current event.

Probably because they know the thread will get locked even if there is nothing political about it...

Yes indeed,,, But what exactly adds to a post? Regurgitating claims? Hearsay? Selling a vehicle? Pictures of a meal?

I'll disagree, it does add weight to someone's opinion. It means "I agree with, and thus there are now two (or more) people who hold this position."

Similar to some answers I see on Amazon to customer questions.

Q:"will this product fit the new version of ABC or only the old version"?
A:"I have the old version of ABC and the product fits fine, not sure about the new version".

So why did the person bother to answer when they provided no useful information in response to the question?

(above about a case for a Noco jumppack).

Because mods lock rather than delete?

I for one am glad the mods are moving more towards locking as opposed to deleting. Sometimes there is valuable information in a thread that has gone astray.

I think to receive updates about a thread when another member posts.
