47 degrees and partly sunny here on the Beautiful South-shores of Long Island, NY.

How did you do with the storm a few days ago? My rental in South bellmore Street was flooded my friend had to do a quick repair on the roof lost a few shingles.

everything is fine. no damage. the only thing that worries me is the wind. but it was not strong enough to cause damage. last year, my area was severly damaged by very strong winds just before christmas.

I have grilled out with snow flying and 15 degrees F. Granted the grill was under a roof. But the sides were open … Worked just fine. Add more charcoal to get the heat up to compensate for the cold.

Here is what we just went through. It was easy to make ice at our community outdoor rink. Yesterday was a new record for January 13.

Lots of rain coupled to astronomical high tide, got stuck at MIL today for a while closed RT1A due to flooding(two homes are oceanfront). The walk way was out on 1A.

No issues. Lots of rain, but my Village had their Workers out cleaning the storm drains and basin.
