Does any body have any experience with Harvest King motor oil from rural king? They have it for $1.59 a quart and was just curious if anybody has ran it before
Have yet to hear anything negative about it. Blended by Warren I believe? Also is fine per the PQIA site. Comparable to Supertech but less expensive since here it goes for $2.44/qt.
I don't know if it's accurate, but it's been reported here that the current blender is Citgo, not Warren Oil Co. Warren made RK conventional and synthetic oils for Rural King.

Yeah I'm currently running Super Tech in my Camry and it burns a quart every 1k so figured I could save a bit by picking up some Harvest King oil tomarrow while doing a little shopping, I haven't seen anything bad about it and as said above it meets the same qualifications as all the other oils so one would assume it's just as good as any other
It looks fine to me, TBN = 8.1, KV100 = 10.5 cSt, Noack = 13.3%, Ca ~ 2300 ppm, Zn ~ 800 ppm, Mo ~ 40 ppm.
They are all reasonable numbers, that Noack and Moly is quite good for a budget oil infact. Not saying the Moly is great, but they could have gotten away with putting none in there, so it's nice to see a touch.
Not a bad oil. It's about $12 for a 5qt jug here. I wouldn't do any extended drain OCI's personally, but for the price, it's hard to beat for a full priced syn.
