This was back in the day where Fram's marketing department ruled, and they liked gimmicky stuff. This, and a filter that had a capsule of magic goop in it for high mileage engines...

That's from a long time ago, around the time when Slick 50 was boasting the "so called" benefits of Teflon in engine oil. That was in spite of what DuPont the maker/marketer of Teflon was saying, that it had no value at all. Gimmick, snake oil in a filter.

I have no idea where it goes because it doesn't smoke or leak but after 3,000 miles it is down 1 quart.
