So my brother and his work friend are in town. Brothers friends 2015? HEMI RAM truck he hought recently. Had this filter and I'm guessing eco box 5w20 or sticker said. I put in some PP 5w20 he supplied and a FRAM ULTRA 10060. 50k on truck also.

Weird to see a Fram orange car without the textured end...jobber stock?

Looks really good, IMO.

Simply put, Wal Mart uses this filter for basic oil changes. I don't think you can purchase this filter over the counter at Wal Mart. FordBroncoVWJetta could tell us more

You cannot buy this over the counter. Walmart uses them for EVERY oil change. Doesn't matter if its the $20 oil change or the $50. You can bring in any filter or ask them to use a different filter if you desire. Also what oil was used? Almost every oil we have is eco box, but in different flavors and brands. The only bulk oil we have is Pennzoil conventional.

In Canada, when WM did oil changes, they were a Pennzoil garage. Filters were yellow Pennzoil ones.

Now, the few WM TLE's left, no idea what they use at all.

I've never actually seen a 'gripless' Fram in Canada at all; don't think you can get them here, even for commercial use.

I like these better than the black griped ones. These ones are like kinda like sand paper.

Just took my gf to get a change at Walmart. She was getting Magnetec 5-30 that will be going about 6500 miles and then 5000 when it hits a divisible number on a new to her '17 Optima. Big push to get the Fram "suitable for synthetics". I told her to pass on the $5-6 up charge. Big change in Fram reputation from ten or fifteen years ago when I used to insist on SuperTech filters with the $12 ST oil change. People had Purolator love then. Wha'goesroundcomesround.

Other than the pleat spacing, is there something wrong with it?

Running one on the wife's Renegade and about 800 miles out from the next 5K mile oil change.

Edit: Nevermind, it is the Ecore version from the "Frampion" days.

Fram Pro Synthetic. Got some on clearance from rockauto a month or two ago. Otherwise I think you are correct, unless you count old stock.

no you can't purchase the Core filters aside from getting one as part of an oil change at W/M.

I was in Walmart late after work one night when they were doing stocking and i saw a box of the fram core filters on a pallet and they are bulk packed, all inside one box, like a box of 12, with no plastic wrapping.
