Here's a Driveworks DW-4011 Filter cut open.

Came off of a 1996 Chevy Blazer 4.3L with 220K... was on for 10K with O'Reilly Full Synthetic.

For an under $2 filter from Advance, it's a great deal in my opinion.

ADBV was rigid but still flexible.

I use whatever's cheapest on the blazer (I do run synthetic in it though because it ironically only uses about a quart of oil over 10K... mainly due to all highway style driving.)

It used to be mine but I gave it to the soon to be in-law's... I still maintain it though... hope to see it hit 300K

Thing looks good, I stocked up on these during a 10 off 30 sale, I think I paid 1.67 each, hoping they keep the Stang going for a while.

Anyone have more info about efficiency/other comments seeing one cut open with a 10k OCI???

The AAP DW has always 'looked' to be a well made filter. It's efficiency remains a complete mystery, afaik there are no specs. And, some DW apps are consolidated/downsized.

Not sure about the "ford o lator" comment, afaik there is no relation to Purolator at all. If anything, as has been discussed, looks more like Donaldson construction without synthetic media.

Thanks for the pics.
