My '06 Town Car has 155,000 on it and has never used the tinyist bit of oil. I've used CAM-2 5W-20 100% synthetic in it for the last 90,000 miles but can't find it for sale anywhere. Is there any reason why I shouldn't begin to use 0W-40 Mobil-1 in it from now on?

It's a big jump. I wouldn't do it. Like said, try a 5w30 or any other 5w20. What attracted you to the CAM 2, price?

There's nothing wrong with going bit thicker in your climate, but if you don't drive hard enough to get your oil really hot, it's probably unnecessary. Since 5W-20 is working well for you, why not just stick with it or go up to a 5W-30?

I worked for an oil/fuel jobber and met the CAM-2 rep. He knew more about motor oil than anyone I've ever talked to. We became distributors and I began using it. We also sold Amalie and Citgo, but was so impressed with the DAM-2 rep that I decided to use it.

In Florida I see zero reasons you couldn't be running 5W-30 or 10W-30 in that car. You can always find one on sale at Walmart. Maybe this https://www.walmart.com/ip/Quaker-S...-30-Motor-Oil-5-Quart/1671100541?from=/search

You could find a reasonably priced 10w-40 High Mileage oil or even a 10w-30 Full Synthetic. In the south there is no reason for a 0w-XX but yes the 0w-40 should work too.

No reason not to use the 0w-40. It will work just as well as any 5w-30 in the same price bracket.

You have the 3.9 liter V-8 ? I ask because I have a similar engine to that in my daily driver ‘02 Jaguar XKR ( Ford owned Jaguar during that era). And I’m using the M-1 0w-40 and have been for the 70,000 miles of my ownership. The car now has 185,000 miles total on it. Zero oil consumption.
