Carquest vs. O'Reilly

Is there any difference between the Carquest and O'Reilly conventional and synthetic oils? Being the same exact price in my area, is one better than the other?

Carquest oil used to be made by valvoline. Orileys was made by omni.

Buy whatever oil is on sale. Carquest and O'Reilly both used blenders and both are perfectly fine oils that meet the latest API/SN+/RC standards. I would use both without hesitation. Your car wouldn't know a difference. Samples below meet the SN standard so there is no reason to doubt their quality.

O'Reilly is made by Omni. Fine oil, use it sometimes.

It depends on your location. Could be a number of blenders. Warren Distribution, Amalie, Warren Oil, Omni. It is whoever won the contract.

Flip the bottle over and look for a bottle stamp or ask for a SDS. Private label oils are quality products that meet the same API/ISLAC specifications.

The API and PQIA test and certify that you are getting a quality product. They are generally cheaper because you are not paying for marketing and CEO's new summer villas.
