Bio-Diesel in 03-06 Duramax?

Anyone have good results running BD in their Duramax engines? Any problems other than the norm?

Thinking of getting the kit for 3k to start making my own. I have never been on the BD band wagon, but for 70 cents a gallon, I am thinking about it.

$3000? I think you can do it for a whole lot less than that....

Depends on the size batches that you want to make.

Doing the sums down here, I could start brewing for under $300, if I was going to do the hauling/mixing/pumping myself.

Drying could be tricky, and a little dangerous, but doable.

I am talking about the kit from Freedom Fuel America (Cascade Biodiesel) in Oregon. The tank with the washing capability and all of the measuring stuff, pump, etc.....runs $2995.00 plus shipping. Anyone got any other ideas?

Can you get the waste oil for free?
