Oh, yeah, I forgot about the steering rack. My local Honda specialist replaced that for me at around 150,000 miles. He explained why his supplier of remanufactured racks was so good - can't recall details. When I wrecked the car at 353,000 miles the rack was still good so I guess he was right. I know that Honda's ATF, even in the 80's, was friction modified. The dipstick indicated that Dexron II was OK, but in retrospect I still think I could have gotten more life out of the unit using Honda fluid.
