Baxter Performance Adapter

Installed this Baxter Performance spin on adapter on a 2019 3.5 Tacoma today for an 82 year old family friend. No more cartridge filter and less mess. Works great. Takes a Napa 1085 or equivalent for the Tacoma application.

Looks nice. How does it impact ground clearance?

How often does it come off with the filter, or do you crank it down using much higher torque?

A few years ago, I contemplated swapping the Legend over to "88-'90 spin-on filter. Sourced all the NOS parts but decided to shelve the project and keep the cartridge filter. There really isn't advantage in doing so; the cartridge was less messy than a spin-on. I really didn't see any benefit. But its an easy enough conversion, just swap the oil filter adapter.

I did add an oil pressure gauge in the lighter location. VDO gauge with Eddie's Marine beveled gauge bezel.

Plenty clearance between the filter and skid plate

How often does it come off with the filter, or do you crank it down using much higher torque?

Adapter called for 40 ft lbs, which I did. Im guessing itll never loosen just by pulling a filter off. Only way it can loosen is if I put a socket on the nut on the adapter and loosen it.
