Is it, though? You can hear that infamous ticking with every start until the oil gets up there. I've already had to replace all the rocker bearings on one 3.6L (not saying that was the issue, because it wasn't), but who's to say those dry starts won't lead to issues down the road? I like to keep vehicles 10-15 years--that's a lot of miles.

who says it wont break the fragile housing hanging out there.

Even if its a metal dorman housing the weight is out there.

im all for engineering and innovation but the pricing on those things are absurd, would be a decent idea if it wasn't priced at hwy robbery

As many changes and problems we've seen in spin-on filters after being cut open, I actually would prefer a cartridge filter. At least I can look it over prior to install.

This product would not appeal to me, regardless of application.

None of my 3 current 3.6's tick after sitting. None of my other 3.6's ticked either. 5W30 syn with Mopar or NAPA Gold oil filters.
