Also can you explain that whole frying pan/auto-ignition thing and how it relates to longevity and CAFE?

It's really elementary physics unless you are using one of the new "Copper Infused" frying pans. They will allow ignition but combust the ash produced in a theil-aligned Entropy re-absorption. This shifts the flame temperature somewhere, but we don't know where.
