I had my first UOA done on my v6 swap and this is what they said:

Whatcha think?

At the OCI I switched to Redline and hope to get atleast 6,000 miles out of the oil with occasional track time as well.

How many miles on the engine?? Silicon might be the problems with the rings?? Are you using a K&N Air filter?? But I doubt it's high enough by itself. I doubt you will see an improvenent with the Redline.

The original engine was too small.

Al, as stated in the title, its got about 45,000 miles on it. I am using an Injen open element intake which uses a filter similar to the K&N type.

I switched to Redline mainly because my engine is known to be particularly hard on oil, and the extra price of RL is worth it to me even if the oil is only, at best, 10% better than M1.

Im going to run the RL for about 6000 or so. Then drain and refill with RL again and have a UOA done on this second RL fill after another 6000 miles and then compare to this oil to see if there is any serious difference.
