07 Cobalt drinking oil

Thank You everyone. I am mechanical illiterate but everything mentioned is pretty much where I was headed with the troubleshooting. It is going to a local shop tomorrow for a little more in depth diagnostics and if everything turns up negative I will just keep feeding oil to it. If it was my car it wouldn't matter but it belongs to an 18 yo female college student that just can't seem to get the concept of checking the oil, despite watching me feed it two quarts of oil at a time...GRRR

Valvoline hm red bottle has noack around 10 unless 20w50.
Valvoline 10w30 fs is around 6. Maybe try that or pp10w30.
