    PP vs QSUD

QSUD get my vote because it's cheaper, carry same certification. I seriously don't think my engine care.

New 2013 Lexus should I change the oil before trip

for that mileage, it's kind of borderline for me, if it's 7500, I would say yes, less than 5000? I probably would leave it in there, statistically your Lexus will be quite reliable, and the chance of developing oil related issue is pretty low.

    oil overfilled 1/2-1 quart??

I remember the K24 needs 4.4 or 4.5qt of oil, if you really put in 5 qt, you should be only about 1/2 qt above, but of course due to the way you drain the oil, you may have more old oil in it which caused you to see more than high mark on the dip stick. If it's only 1/2 qt more, I would leave it...

Amsoil Las Vegas Tax Cab Field Study

I do believe Amsoil is good stuff, but the study---- no control = scientifically irrelevant. It would be funny if using dino and follow reasonable OCI AND we can still see the manufacturer stamp date.

Does wally world sell motor oil at a loss?

Walmart's business model is very different compare to auto parts store, just like most people won't compare milk price from walmart to liquor store.

    Nextgen is double refined

It's all about technicality...absolutely meaningless to consumer, I do like the idea of recycle though.

    5W30 instead of 0W20

Your car will run fine, won't blow up until 500K, just kidding... Yes, fine, but is it optimal? most likely not, so why you want to use 5W30?

    honda ridgeline mm

I think 90% should be ok. In fact I personally tend to trust Honda's MM, I know there was member posting picture of worn cam and swear they followed MM, not that I don't believe them, it's just the sample size is too small for me to not believe Honda's MM, may be the previous OP had a lemon or...

    $21 for QSUD 0w20? Wow!

Not sure other part of the country, but here at California, we always have 5qt QSUD and PP. I like QSUD, cheaper than PP, and probably perform about the same for my application. Hey you should sign up for their warranty rebate too, make those oil a steal, with your mailing address in Canada may...

    Quaker State

I have switched from PP to QSUD for my acura, I figure if both PP and QSUD 5W30 has HTO-06 certification, then should be equally good for my car. Well, not that my car requires HTO-06, it's just if it's good enough for the turbo, it must be good enough for my NA mentality. I'm going back to...

2004 Honda Accord V6 Piston Slap

Just my thought, First figure out if the slap will hurt your engine in long run, if it doesn't then i say forget about it especially when the slap goes away once it's warmed up. Second, fogure out what's the cause of it if you what to have it fixed. No oil is going to fix worn piston, ring or...
