need help/advice on oil and filter to use

i have found the castrol syntec at my local autozone stores...it says made in germany on the back...

anyway i have a infinti g35 sport....here are my questions:

1. when should i change over to synthetic? mileage?
2. what oil filters would one use?? give me the top 3 recommendations...

Purolator PureOne
NAPA Gold

Castrol Syntec would be a fine choice, I'd switch to synthetic right after the factory fill, many cars come prefilled with synthetic from the factory.

As for the oil filter, Amsoil EaO would be good. As for switching to synthetic, most likely the car was filled with it at the factory, so there's nothing to switch. You can use synthetic from the first oil change.
