Wix Filter Made in Poland

Bought one yesterday for '98 Civic, Wix #46388.
Filter marked "made in Poland".
I guess you never know where they're gonna come from. Wasn't cheap either, around $13.00 US.
They outsource to "reduce costs" but the price never goes down.

My last Wix Honda Accord air filter was Made in Korea.

I also just figured out that Wix owns and operates filter factories in the UK and Poland. I know that they bought the UK operations of Delphi (previously AC-Delco) some time ago. I don't know that the background of the Poland plant is.

The Polish filters are not outsourced as they are manufactured at Wix-Filtron in Poland. Their manufacturing facility is actually on par with the facilities here in the US......

My 1.9L TDI engine was built in Poland too! It is good to see that there are a few things built outside of China nowadays.

Just bought a NAPA air filter, made by WIX (says so on box), for my 2004 Kia Sedona. $19.99!!! Made in S. Korea.


Well made, but...at this price, I'll rethink FRAM if they ever come out with this model.
