oil brand and the hemi tick

Thanks guys for the replies. The truck requires 5w-20 oil that conforms to chrysler ms-6395. syn or dino. I could care less about the tick now after hearing so many other trucks and reading countless threads about it. I have 25k on the truck and never had a problem out of it. Anyway I think I'm going to go back with synpower in the ram, and in the dart I might stick with synpower as well, unless somebody with a dart with the 2.4 engine has some other suggestions

But he doesn't. I believe he's still using a GF-5 rated 30, which isn't thicker than much of anything other than a 20.

That would be worth a shot right there. And get the RP filter too.
 
Hey thanks Garak. It's the big five zero today. I can't figure out where the last 25 years went to. Seems like last week Madonna was the #1 pop star.
