Fram Ultra or Mobil 1 EP or Toyota OEM?

Auto Zone is currently running an oil special on 5qts of either PP or Ultra plus a K&N oil filter for$36.99 (the K&N is a $4 upgrae over the Fram Tough Guard specified with the deal). Given that the K&N is basically the same Champion Labs filter as the M1EP, that seems like a really good deal. $36.99 is roughly the same as Wally World's price for the oil so the autozone special is comparable to paying Wally World prices for the oil and getting a top notch oil filter for free. I'm not sure that the sale duration is the same in all markets, but in our market it lasts through Feb 4.

The same circular offers M1 plus a M1EP filter for $32.99 or M1EP oil plus a M1EP filter for $36.99; again screaming deals.

This makes the toyota filter seem extremely attractive

The Toyota filters are not very efficient ... 51% @ 20 microns.

It seems so,, if that's t he case, why are they portrayed so positively upon a google search of toyota oem found on various sites and forums?

Even if they aren't efficient, they do have a lot of filtering media so are they any good or are they like the fram ocod?

They're probably fine for. 5k oci but what about a 10k oci since they have so much filtering media?

I'm going to look into the fram ultra.
