what is the best break in lub ?

i had a new lifter maul itself after replacing a whole set ....i used the white lubaplate and following was red goo ..so who and what is the best lub for break in -it must stick to the parts for the lapping to happen without gulling out ...thxs

White Lubriplate is not intended for cam lobe/lifter break in. It is for main and rod bearings. Only use cam assembly/break in lube for cam lobe/lifter break in.

I always used moly engine assembly lube. That lubriplate stuff has been around since forever. But I've never used it.

Yikes, Assembly Lube, Max-Tuff, Synthetic & Id run a breakin oil like mnetione above. Royal purple has a breakin oil also.
