Those of us in a OEM warranty aren't able to perform extended OCIs, or I would be.

That's why I asking if there is ANY benefit to using a synthetic for 3,750 mile OCIs?

I would certainly say no, unless the manufacturer specified a synthetic. If something calls for a 0w-20 for 3750 mile OCIs, well, your choices are a bit limited. If it's calling for 5w-30 for such intervals and all it's calling for are SN/GF-5, then I'd prefer conventional for those OCIs.
