STP and Fram oil filters- 9018 Model

I always though these were both made by the same Champion. I took a look at the 9018 from both that fit a GM 2.2L Ecotec. The Fram was made in China, but the STP was made in the USA? Who do you think is making this for STP? It is a cartridge style filter...

Most STP's are made by Champ labs - at least the canister style

STP is made by Champ Labs.They also make filters for K&N,Mobil and many others.UCI,the parent company of Champ is now owned by the Rank Group.This group has also bought Fram/Autolite/Prestone from Honeywell.

I don't know how many times I had bought a Fram 9018, and found it made in a different country. The first one I bought was made in England, the second one I bought was made in Poland, I had a few made in South Korea, some were made in the USA, and a few others I can't remember.
