Subway franchises (at least some) do not seem to discourage this behavior. Best to stop giving them any business during the lucnh hour where these things take place.
I order online at Chipotle often and find timeliness to vary widely. The location nearest my home would usually make my order several minutes early, like often 12 or 13 minutes early! I'd show up on time and find the food was room temperature already (I eventually started waiting inside, arriving early, that's how I knew it was made so far ahead of schedule). Then they changed their system so they don't even start to prepare the order until the customer arrives, so at that point it's no better than standing in line. The randomness of counter service was always a gamble. Ordering on an app sounds good and likely is good often but there's no guarantee. Order and pay with an app ahead of time and still risk a delay? That's a NOGO option for me.
Yeah, then you could wait just as long while burning money and polluting the environment even more. Drive-thru should be available only to those with legitimate handicap tags for their vehicle.
I’m with you Passport. The other morning on my way to work I counted 19 yes 19 cars lined up at Dunkin Doughnuts for who knows what? When did we become incapable of preparing a cup of coffee at home and figuring out how to take one with us? I know, I know, old man yelling at clouds. I plead guilty.I used to get this for lunch. The line was always real short; one.

Disgusting chemical bread and no meat. PassHaven't been to Subway in ages. Plenty of better places to get a sub.
I was going to say that but decided to feign consideration for others' feelings.Disgusting chemical bread and no meat. Pass
See the last line of my post (#22)When did we become incapable of preparing a cup of coffee at home and figuring out how to take one with us?
The Chipotle near my office will lock the door to slow down foot traffic during lunch. The workers just move like molasses and will sometimes only take online orders. I’ve stood there for 45 minutes waiting on an online order with 20 other people. The same could be said of many restaurants.
I've gone into Chipotle many times only to get behind someone ordering for a large family or office. And inevitably at some point there's an online order that they just have to squeeze in to be sure it's on time.
Nothing like that near me. Just subway is close enough to go to lunch. There is a small sub shop across town and they had the best meatball sandwich ever! Then they took it off the menu so my only option is subwayLiving outside of Philly and at the southern NJ beach, the choices for decent sandwich/hoagie/cheesesteak places is huge. A poorly slapped together Wawa hoagie is far better than anything Subway produces.
4-5 eaA 40min wait with just 3 people ahead of you? Were they ordering a dozen subs each?
That's what auto start/stop is for.Yeah, then you could wait just as long while burning money and polluting the environment even more. Drive-thru should be available only to those with legitimate handicap tags for their vehicle.
You are asking them to stop making money? Id order on the app or online ahead of time and pick up and go.Subway franchises (at least some) do not seem to discourage this behavior. Best to stop giving them any business during the lucnh hour where these things take place.
Does Subway have an app for your phone where you can place the order and pick up in store? That might be a better solution.
Usually the ones doing great dont honor them. The gas station or the new subway out in nowhere honors themYes, and the app also has great coupons and deals that not a single subway location honours.
Expecting most folks to actually have to park thier vehicle, and then in a major horror show have to actually walk all the way up to the counter to place their order? There will be riots in the street if we try to make folks do all that activity prior to obtaining their very healty fast food lunch, soda and chips.Yeah, then you could wait just as long while burning money and polluting the environment even more. Drive-thru should be available only to those with legitimate handicap tags for their vehicle.
Customer walks up at lunch and needs 100 subs that's OK? I'm just asking your limit 300Think of it this way - limiting customers on how many they can buy at once or when they want to is ... not only limiting business on how many they can sell and when, it's pretty much what socialism about.
