Just wanted clarification with any potential concerns with Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 and LSPI with its higher calcium levels.
If I use 93 octane Top Tier fuel and 5K OCI with my 2018 Audi A5 is this an issue?

The newest formulation of M1 0w40 is API SP anyway (LSPI mitigating). As such, the calcium levels aren’t elevated in comparison anymore. I use the newest SP-rated euro oils in my Ecoboost Explorer with no worries.

In that engine, use VW 504.00/507.00 like Mobil1 ESP 5W30.

Subjective conjecture again on your part; you seem to have a theme going in several posts in multiple threads about Mobil 1.

Sir, there is no "best" oil. There are many good ones, specific to many different applications.

Does not matter. I run it in MY2011 in the EA888. In the EU, that engine has been recommended for VW504.00/507.00 since the beginning of its existence in 2009.
VW504.00/507.00 is backward recommended from vehicles using VW502.00 if sulfur is low in gas. And we have ULSG since 2017.

Why?

It *may* reduce the rate of carbon buildup on the intake valves. Otherwise there is no concern with FS.

LSPI isn't an issue using 502 oils on that engine. You're welcome.

It's hanging out with the I didn't change my oil 3x before 1K mi so my car didn't make it past 80k miles folks and that carburetor that ran off water and got 100 mpg.

There are new, on the shelf oils with approval for his motor (VW 502) that only come with API SL. LSPI paranoia never took off in the VWAG community.
