I know most people here prefer to do their own basic maintenance, but I was just curious who uses the dealer while still under factory warranty and why. Thanks.
If it's price competitive why would you not?I know most people here prefer to do their own basic maintenance, but I was just curious who uses the dealer while still under factory warranty and why. Thanks.
The time cost. I passed up several free oil changes at the Toyota dealer because I don't want to spend the time and I want to make sure it's done correctly. If it's price competitive why would you not?
'Queenie Blue' here (traded in my 2015 F150 for a new 2024 Honda Odyssey EX-L hence the name change).I know most people here prefer to do their own basic maintenance, but I was just curious who uses the dealer while still under factory warranty and why. Thanks.
Okay and if you couldn't do the oil change yourself? The time cost. I passed up several free oil changes at the Toyota dealer because I don't want to spend the time and I want to make sure it's done correctly.
One thing to consider is dealerships use bulk oil and under warranty would only change that bulk oil at 10k OCI.I know most people here prefer to do their own basic maintenance, but I was just curious who uses the dealer while still under factory warranty and why. Thanks.
I'd go to the independent shop down the street from me and drop it off the night before. Their waiting room is bare bones.Okay and if you couldn't do the oil change yourself?
Depends on who’s paying for it. If you bought a service package through the manufacturer then they will only pay for it for the miles/time interval on the contract. My local Ford dealership does 19.95 oil changes and as long as you’re paying for it you can get your oil changed every day.One thing to consider is dealerships use bulk oil and under warranty would only change that bulk oil at 10k OCI.
Not the kind of thing you want to happen to a new car that you just paid a lot of money for.
