In regards to HM oils in general, let me say that i have a 2009 Chrysler T & C with 3.8 engine. Purchased a year and a half ago with 64k miles. Iwas using Pp, Penz Ultra and Mobil1. Usage was steady at 1 qt/1000 miles. Chrysler/dodge vans are known for this. Last OCI, I used mobil 1 5w/30 HM. Usage immediately fell to 1 qt in2k miles. Monitoring to see if that pattern holds, or gets even better.

But to my original point, say you have two vehicles: one is 25 years old and has only 40k miles. The second is 4 yrs old and has 120k miles. For arguments sake, they are same make and model, different years and miles. Would you approach lubrication needs the same, differently based on age, differently based on miles? How would those needs differ (if at all)?
