I went to the Honda dealer today to have the tires rotated / brake fluid changed / and have the VTC actuator issue checked out (or at least documented). Well after waiting in the car for over 20 minutes I was finally addressed. They had to put the new car info in the system (car in sig) which took a little while, he didn't have the "code" for a brake flush so he went back inside for maybe 5 minutes or so. When he came back out and finally got everything jotted down that I wanted done, I asked how long it would take...he said by the end of the day!!! WHAT? Its never taken this long to do this type of work, I brought my old Accord in to this dealer for the same type of work and it took maybe 2 hours tops. Long story short I ended up leaving after 50 minutes of going no where and said that I cant wait around for that long and I would re-schedule. I did write a review on yelp that wont reflect well on their service department, as well as call Honda Corporate. So hopefully they will get their act together. I also asked Corporate about the TSB 09-010 for the VTC actuator grind...as soon as I said VTC actuator she immediately said that American Honda is aware of the issue and they are working on a resolution. She also said that as of now the engineers determined it wont hurt anything and its just a characteristic of the engine. She said they are working on a resolution, and thanked me for calling about the issue...she also said that they forward these complaints to the engineers. Just wanted to vent and also share about the VTC issue. Hopefully Honda Corporate follows up with this dealer and makes them straighten up, they should be treating us like gold, not trash. I also hope that Honda is truly working on a fix for this VTC issue. Just wanted to share!
