That's one reason I prefer to do my own oil changes and have no time for this "free" nonsense. The dealer really can't win in this situation. If it were me, I'd be asking for the 5w-30 thanks to severe service intervals, and would be annoyed if they were wasting 0w-20 on me. Others are annoyed that they're going cheap and using 5w-30 conventional instead of the 0w-20.
I declined the "lifetime powertrain warranty" on my G because that required service from the Chrysler dealer from whom I purchased it. I'm not interested in that at all. If I want to run 0w-20, 5w-30, or 5w-40, I'll do so, and the dealer has absolutely nothing to say about it.
