Yes, pre-cats seems to be Nissan only things. What is hard to understand is how an exhaust valve manages to reverse flow the junk. It is well known that it does happen but I have not figured out the exact mechanism.

I believe that is correct.

OTOH, I believe Johnny248 might take issue with what Nissan's fine precat/cat engineering can do to the 3.5L engine.
