Which type of oil do you guys use in your engines ?.....

I been using 10w/30w Penzoil in mine, the mower is a 2018 model, as the summers have been going on it gets hotter down through the months and I'm sure as much grass as I cut the engine gets hotter, what do you all recommend for a type of oil to use ?...

Right now my 7000 series 24HP has 5w40 T6 left over. Since selling my diesel it'll be getting 15w40 T5 for the next 5 years till the 2.5G jug I bought is gone. After that, next 3 years will be Castrol 5w40T oil that I had for the Seadoo that was also sold. Downside of planning ahead is you never know what's going to happen. Only buying oil right before I actually need it LOL.

Mobil 1 0-40 is a great oil for mowers, I have been using it for years. If you are using your machine in the cold this is the best oil.

Not in a Kohler, but I have Rotella Gas Truck 5W-30 running in the 22 hp Subaru EH65 in a Subaru generator. Next change is going to be with Mobil 1 Euro 0W-40.

Farm & Fleet 5w40 HDEO in my JD LT150 with a Kohler. I use the 5w40 because I put a snow blower on the front of it in the winter.

Just my $0.02

My Kholer 7000 22HP gets what is leftover from the car changes, which would be a mix of Havoline LifeLong(Syn) 5W30 and Havoline High Mileage 5W30.

That and an automotive filter, can't remember the model, but it is a Champ filter.

I’ve got a 2011 Cub Cadet zero turn with Kohler Courage 22 engine. Oil that I use is Delvac 1300 15w40 with Fram Extra Guard PH3614 filter. I maintain 2.5 acres with this mower and the engine has been great. It uses no oil and still runs great after eleven years of use.
