Doing a bit of cleaning I found an old, bottle of the classic green coolant that I don't know why, when or how it came into my possession, but it sits happily between all the other car fluids waiting to be used.

A closer look at the bottle revealed that the manufacturing date was March 18th of 2003. I don't know when it was opened and had some of its contents removed but I must assume that it was a long time ago. It doesn't look any different than normal coolant.

I don't own any car that uses the green stuff anymore so I don't have any immediate use for it, I could pass it to some friend or neighbor that could use it but I want to be sure that the coolant still is OK to use.

So, do I part ways from it? or, do I keep it for another 11 years?

Shake it up, pour some out. If its cloudy, send it to the recycler!
(just my opinion)

It might not be embittered so be careful not to let dogs, etc. drink it (if any gets spilled).
