Who's using mobil 5000 , happy with it?

I am just curious, but say for instance you had two of the same vehicle. You change the oil every 5k on each and use the same filters on each. Why would the pennzoil engine be cleaner than the mobil if the mobil is guaranteed to work for 5k?

When to do 1st OC for 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe V6?

I have this same vehicle. You actually do not even have to remove the engine cover to get to the filter like the previous 3.3 engine. Standing in front of the car the filter is just to the right of the engine cover. It looks like a big plastic bolt on the top. I think it is a 26 or 27mm socket...

Oil for 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe v6 Knocks When Cold

I have the same vehicle with the same engine. Mine has just over 6000 miles and I use Hyundai filters, I dont think there is an aftermarket one for it now anyway, and Mobil Clean 5w30. I have no knocking whatsoever. The engine is smooth as can be.

    oil change stickers

I emailed Mobil and Valvoline. I got an email response from Mobil and 20 stickers in the mail. Neither from Valvoline yet. 20 is a pretty good supply though.

    Todays trip to WalMart

It is a 2010 Santa Fe 3.5L. I don't make any more trips to WalMart than I have to.

    Todays trip to WalMart

I went today to buy oil for my new Hyundais first oil change. I intended on buying Valvoline for that is what I use in my Honda, but they were out of 5w30. Also, I noticed the Valvoline 5 qt jug was $15 making it the most expensive conventional oil there. I ended up buying Mobil Clean 5000...

It is a 2008, about to run out of warranty.

    5W20 OR 5W30 IN HONDA

My accord does not say anything about any oil other than 5W20. Is anyone using 5W30 instead or do you think either is really better.

    Mixing Oils

Due to the various sales that go on at any given time I have several quarts or half quarts of different brands that are all the same weight. What do you think about mixing them one oil change just to get rid of them?

    SCHAEFFERS SUPREME 7000 5W20

Well I get the stuff for roughly what it cost our company which is around $4/qt. Does that still seem overpriced for what it is?

    SCHAEFFERS SUPREME 7000 5W20

My company has been a Schaeffers dealer for some time, primarily for use in our company trucks though. I have been running the 5w20 in my two fairly new Hondas for over a year now with no trouble. They are both the 2.4 four cylinder. Has anyone else used this oil for any time and with what...

New Lawnmower! Troy-Bilt Honda, Oil Change Q's

Tip to the side is correct to drain, unless you have an oil extractor. That engine actually should have 10w30 oil.

    BOSCH OR PUROLATOR

What is anyones thought on the Bosch oil filter versus the regular Purolator. Experiences? Which is better if either?

    KENDALL

Does anyone have any experience using Kendall oil? I have a new Honda, and the dealer will change the oil for $20, and although I do not mind changing it myself - actually I prefer to, but for $20 it may be hard to overlook sometimes. However, I know they use Kendall synthetic blend. Kendall...

    QUAKER STATE

Does anyone have any opinions about the regular Quaker State oils? Are they in the same class as Pennzoil or Havoline? Quaker State never seems to be mentioned much on this forum, nor on the UOA forum, so I was just curious if there was a reason why.

    Shell Motor Oil

Any one use this stuff with good results. Our auto parts store always has some brand on sale, but the Shell is consistently reasonable even not on sale.

    Havoline, Valvoline, or Pennzoil 5w20

The maintenance minder in my CR-V would take about 9000 miles to tell me it is time for an oil change. I have a difficult time swallowing that with regular oil?

    Havoline, Valvoline, or Pennzoil 5w20

Have an 07 Honda that I have been running the Havoline 5w20 Deposit Shield with Purolator filters every 3000 miles. Just bought another 08 Honda, both are 4 cylinders, and wondering if I should continue what I have been doing. This Havoline oil is pretty new, so just not sure long term. Plus I...

    Store brand motor oils

I decided not to use it after what some of you have said, bought the Havoline Deposit Shield instead because they had it for the same price as the store brand.

    Store brand motor oils

Thanks for the input so far. I may be wrong, but I have kind of come to the point of thinking that if you change it religously every 3k which I do, use a good filter, and use the correct weight, then the brand is probably irrelevant.
