    Advantages of By-Pass Filter

I feel the bypass filter is not to extend the oil drain intervals primarily but rather to extend the maintenance on the internal engine parts of the engine. There are tons on studies from the US Air Force, Navy, many major cities etc. The conclusions are that the bypass filters do not save on...

    does it really matter?

Was your buddy's truck bombed? What was he / it doing at time of failure? RPM's? Boost? HP level? Torque level? Dyanoed? Many guys on TDR have 100,000 200,000 300,000 400,000 miles on theirs. I have only 55k on mine, but plan for 500k + and I tow heavy. Interesting, I would like to know more...

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Concerns

"A bypass oil filter will remove much of this soot, but oil analyses are still required to protect your warranty. The dispersants in oil attempt to keep the soot in sub-micron particles which are often too small to filter out even with a bypass filter. It is when the soot particles agglomerate...

What do the analysis numbers mean?

At times I have seen that an oil analysis is reporting ISO Code(3) 15/14/12 or ISO Code(2) 15/12. What do those analysis numbers mean? Where can I learn more about ISO Codes? Bob Weis

    Question about Cartridge Bypass Filter

I just installed a RACOR LFS-802 bypass filter on my 2002 Dodge CTD. A cartridge, but not a spin on. RACOR because they are experts in industrial filtering and Parker-Hannifin has been around for a long time doing what they do. Advertised as 1 micron. I do not know if absolute or not. Using...
