10W40 SN + rated question?

Will 10W40 oil be SN + rated? I believe Mobil already made the move. Not sure of the parameters. Ty

What engine do you have that needs 10W40 and SN+ ?

just look on the label! i like higher viscosity oils in high heat, heavy towing or just helping lessen consumption. girlfriends 13 2.5L malibu spec xxW2o oil new it used a quart in 1500 then it got worse, a change to 10-30 was better for a while but now using a 5-40 euro spec + it cut consumption to 16 oz in 3 thou + thats the best it ever did! turbo'd engines are better with higher viscosities as well IMO. many vehicles in us recommending xxW20 get 5-40 recommendations in other countries, your choice a 1/4 mpg or a longer lived engine.
