I am aware of it. Saw my share of fake oils in 90's. Mostly were coming from Russia, Ukraine, Romania.

Same pour spouts Motul uses, so it could be something new for XOM's Euro market... or it's fake, lol.

If you want genuine, buy from TESCO or some other big reputable supplier. usually on sale, the price from TESCO is still better than from ebay / lazada.

The oil jugs look normal to me. But there's been counterfeit oils on the market, so who knows.

A local dollar store in Finland sold fake Mobil 1 5W-50 here some years ago. Finnish customs estimates that 35,000 liters of fake oil was imported from Estonia to Finland in 2014-2015. The store didn't know that they were selling fake oil. The paperwork seemed legitimate. And the bottles and labels were really well made to look original. The oil jugs contained just plain mineral oil (conventional oil).
